How did you first become interested in market research?

It’s a way to blend my extensive research background (including 10 years at the Cleveland Clinic) and writing experience (over 2 years of medical writing).

How do editors at Freedonia help ensure the quality of the research?

Analysts sometimes get deeply involved in the fine details of their research. The editors often ask the simple question – does this really make sense with what you said in another section? It helps analysts take a step back and take a bird’s eye view of the study.

What is your favorite part of the study writing process?

The research, definitely. Learning about a new industry, and understanding the forces and trends in those industries.

What is your favorite study that you’ve worked on?

I’ve really enjoyed the food ingredient studies I’ve done – including Sweeteners, Flavors and Fragrances, Enzymes. I pay more attention to what ingredients are in the food I buy, not from a safety or nutritional angle, but from a “I’ve researched that industry” angle.

What are some improvements that have been made to reports?

More charts and infographics. They help to clearly and quickly convey the information analysts have collected and analyzed.

What studies have you worked on recently?

New call-to-action
