This past week, MarketResearch.com gave a facelift to its premier corporate research platform, Profound. Business intelligence has a new look with Profound's fresh new user interface. But, we’re not doing it just to look pretty. The new design revamps the navigation and functional menus and cleans up many of the pages that our users have told us were misleading or outdated.
A tool for serious information professionals, Profound allows sophisticated full-text and taxonomy-driven search strategies to pinpoint information from nearly 700,000 research reports. This emphasis on searching tools, industry taxonomy thesauri, and result filters sometimes made portions of the platform seem less than friendly to the casual user. With the refreshed design and the new cleaner layout, Profound conforms to more of the conventions that Web users are used to and makes the power of Profound’s database accessible to an even wider audience of business professionals.
The new user interface also sets the stage for a number of new features, which we will release over the next few weeks and months. These features will make Profound’s formidable content set and money-saving buy-by-the-slice functionality available to even more users. Later this month, Profound.com will begin to accept credit cards for ad hoc purchases of content outside the corporate contracts that have always governed Profound usage. Alternative payment will allow users more flexibility in the way they use and track their projects and funds. In the new year, we’ll be making back office changes and new contracting options available as well. So, stay tuned!
